What Are We Upto

The Mission Goal is to assist in the preservation of heritage temples that are now in poor condition. Such a step would also have an Impact on the local economy through increased footfalls in the temple. The aim is to bring about sustainability of the initiative through crowd sourcing of the needed funds.

In the first phase, the Project will focus on inducting a dedicated priest in each temple to ensure Pujas twice a day and provide necessary materials for it;  besides this, Neivedyam and distribution of Prasadams will  be ensured for at least 20 persons once after the evening Puja.  Routine repairs and provision of minor accessories would also be covered. All efforts to promote the footfall in the temples will be supported; a typical one would be to sponsor  classes for classical music and dance among the students and youngsters in the community.

In a second phase attempts will be made, in co-ordination with the Government, to restore the structure and the architecture of the temples that are found damaged.
